EVOLVE
Hey guys, sorry that I’ve been away from the blog for a while but Hannah and I along with the staff attended the Evolve conference at Mountain Lake Church. All I can say was that we really learned a lot. God got a hold of our hearts and it was AWESOME!
Here are some things God spoke to me about:
-
Focus on Him and Him alone
-
Work on self discipline. The fruit of the spirit is self-control.
-
Cast the Vision of our church, again and again and again and again.
-
Stick to the Vision God has given us
-
Reach the lost at any cost
-
keep swinging the bat until your hand bleeds (sports metaphor)
-
Work hard and play hard. YEAH!
-
I’ve got an incredible staff! Competitive but incredible!
-
I’ve only got one life so live it to the fullest sold out to God
-
Guitar Hero Rocks!
There’s more but I’ve got to go. The family and I are on our way up to see my Dad. He’s been having some health issues so please pray for him and for our traveling mercy.
God Bless!
Kevin
rethink Mondays!
I just had a great rethink idea! Why not rethink Mondays? All those in favor…
I really love our church. Yesterday was awesome! If you missed the Experience Life session last night then I’ll catch you up in 8x fast forward:
Rethink church- we started changing paradigms by rethinking the way we do church.
Vision – we know where we are headed and we will not vary from it.
Ministry Coaches - Using Christ’s example with the disciples, I will pour my life into my staff, leadership and ministry coaches. In turn they will pour their life into people that are on their ministry team who will pour their life into others in the church and in the community.
Who we are and why we do what we do. Our target, Our purpose, Our future.
Comments I’ve received about last night: “This was FUN”, “great model and vision”, “The videos were very impacting; I wanted to stand up and shout”, “God is at work here”, “I want to get involved and help”, “I’m glad to be a part of Life Church”, “I want a T-shirt!”.
Don’t forget the conferences!
Now go rethink what you’ve been thinking.
Kevin
