Monday Mania

Sunday was awesome! What a great way to finish off our parenthood series by dedicating children and families to God. I pray that you will stick to your commitments.

The band was awesome and our volunteers are the greatest! Thanks for all that you do!

This Sunday will be a great day as well; we will kick off our Beautiful Stories series. This is a 2 week series that will end on Mothers day. This Sunday we will hear an incredible life change story of one of our members. It will truly bless your soul.

Here are few things that you can help us with:

• Pray for this Sunday
• Invite someone to Life – call them or pick them up if you have to.
• Get the family together for a devotion this week. Start small, maybe 10 minutes.
• Come early to Life this Sunday – remember all volunteers will be fed by our great Life Cafe’ team.
• Plan to attend our First Fellowship on Sunday evening. It starts at 4:30 p.m. – bring your homemade ice cream
• The first person that reads this blog and emails me at kevin@mylifechurch.org will win one movie pass good at the Great Escape Theatre. You must live in the area and attend this Sunday to redeem your movie pass. Please put the following in your subject line when sending the email: “I’ve read your blog”.

Call of Duty

I’ve been asked about my blog, where have I been and what’s happen?    I’m sorry for not blogging the last few weeks.   Truth is I been so busy with Easter and church planning and to be honest my call of duty.    You may have heard of the game Call of Duty; it’s like real war scenarios.  I’ve learned quite a bit about tactical warfare, team play and strategy.   This hasn’t kept me away from my blog it’s just help me “mentally” shut down from the constant church planting mindset.   If your a church planter you understand.   It’s also help me realize that God gives us a call of duty (reference my call of duty mentioned above).   A call to reach others (remember the great commission?), a call to give our lives to Him as a sold out Christ follower.   A duty to share God’s love and gospel to the rest of the world.    A call to stratergize (i know it’s not a word) our methods to make the biggest impact for Him that we can make.  A Call of Duty.   

Am I reaching for a metaphor?   Um,  Oh well it’s been a long day, I’m tired, and I need to go kick some behind on Call of Duty.      by the way it’s great fellowship with others that attend Life Church……maybe we can call ourselves the LC klan.  :)
